Goodman Fielder and Allied Mills announce new flour supply agreement
Goodman Fielder Limited and Allied Mills Pty Ltd announced today that they had signed a new five year flour supply contract.
The agreement provides for Allied Mills to continue to be Goodman Fielder’s exclusive Australian supplier of bulk flour for its breads, biscuits and pastry. Allied Mills has been the company’s Australian flour supplier since 2002.
“I am pleased that we have been able to continue our long standing relationship with Allied,” Goodman Fielder CEO, Chris Delaney, said today.
“This continuation of the current arrangements further enhances the collaborative partnership between the two organisations and supports our company’s growth and innovation agenda. The new agreement ensures that Goodman Fielder will reduce its total delivered cost of flour over the term of the contract, on an equivalent commodity price basis.”
Goodman Fielder and Allied will be working closely together on innovation, cost and purchasing initiatives for the mutual benefit of each company with particular focus on implementing changes to wheat procurement, varietal development, supply chain and flour manufacturing.
Managing Director Allied Mills, Joe Di Leo said, “We are very pleased to be able to extend our strong working relationship with Goodman Fielder through the extension of our long term flour supply agreement.”
